This brew originates in Central Peru, specifically the Chanchamayo region. The Chanchamayo province is famous for citrus production and quality coffee growing.
The coffee is produced by local smallholder farmers who deliver their harvested cherry to central mills for further processing and sale. SHB means "Strictly Hard Bean" which are coffees grown at altitudes over 4000 feet (1200 meters)
