Introducing Sarah

I'd like to introduce you to Sarah. Sarah came to Pittsburgh and started working at The Red Door. When she was ready for a new adventure,  she came uptown to Brother Andre's!

We couldn't be happier to have her! Sarah has been an incredible addition to our staff. She is always working hard - from online orders to helping the employees on the register - Sarah is a busy jack-of-all-trades.

She loves this work and, as usual, Sarah considers the employees the very best part!  She insists that the happiness of the Cafe is created by the amazing employees. I totally agree with her - each employee brings a special joy to the Brother Andre's team.

Before Sarah worked at The Red Door and Brother Andre's, she was a Nun for seven years. Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, you read that right!  Now, besides work, Sarah is completing her degree in Theology at Saint Vincent's and hopes to get a Master's degree in Social Work. She thinks that the MSW degree would be good for her long-term goals of working in therapeutic situations.

Sarah is so fun-loving, it's not a surprise that she loves traveling and adventure. One of Sarah's favorite vacations was to The Grand Canyon, Bryce National Park, and Zion National Park. I actually went to both Zion and Bryce National Parks, and they are both incredible places. Sarah's spirit of adventure must include her commitment to performing! She sings and plays the piano with a group. Sarah clearly loves all music but admits that Indie is her absolute favorite. One other thing Sarah likes to think about are her vacations at Myrtle Beach - I can totally see Sarah lounging on the beach like there's no tomorrow!

Sarah's immediate family includes an older brother (married with children in Toledo, Ohio), a younger brother (a Barber in Morgantown), an older sister (married with children living in Pittsburgh), and a set of great parents. Morgantown is Sarah's hometown, and -along with her entire extended family- she is. a. really. really. big. fan! The West Virginia University Mountaineers are a huge part of this family's autumn every year.

Besides working, studying, and performing, Sarah manages to enjoy some hobbies. These hobbies include reading, exercising, and cooking. I wonder if she enjoys reading the most. I also love to read, especially because it can transport me to a whole other world!

Recently a really exciting and important event happened in Sarah's life. SHE GOT ENGAGED!! Mike, her wonderful fiance, proposed. We are all so, so happy for her! The Brother Andre's gang can't wait to see her taking a whole new step in life! Congratulations to our wonderful Sarah! We love you!
