Shannon
I'd like to introduce you to Shannon, an important part of the Assumption support staff. Shannon discovered Brother Andre's when she came to Mass here, at Epiphany. Her immediate thought was right, Brother Andre's is a wonderful place. Shannon especially LOVES the team members with whom she works (which, I noticed, is a very common theme).
I have been to Assumption and, I have to say, they seem to have fun! They all love to dance-and they do, often! They've even started a weekly dance party that is open to the public. (Check out Facebook posts for the date of the next Assumption Dance Party.) Since Shannon fits right in, I imagine that she has some really good dance moves.
The more I discovered about Shannon, the more I thought she was perfect for the happy Assumption crew. She is the third of six children, she has one sister and four brothers.I bet that was a fun crowd growing up. Altoona was their home, the family moved to Pittsburgh later. Shannon attended Bishop Guilfoyle High School (in Altoona) and then graduated from Villanova. After college, she moved to Pittsburgh to be near her family. Now, four of her six siblings live in other states. (I hope they get to see each other often.) I wonder if they are all as nice and funny as Shannon is.
In her free time, Shannon loves hiking with her dog. (Dogs also seem a common theme in my blog posts!) Shannon seemed so happy when she mentioned her dog that I could tell that we agree that dogs are very lovable. I hope Shannon and her dog have as much fun as Skipper and I do.
I asked Shannon my usual questions about personal favorites; hers include Autumn, cooking, and baking. I'm thinking that maybe this Fall, we should encourage Shannon to organize a Brother Andre's Staff Party (and provide some delicious food). Oops, did I just volunteer her? Sorry, Shannon.
Like most of us, Shannon enjoys TV and movies. She really likes 'The Office'. Although I've never watched it, I've heard lots of funny things about it. Shannon also likes classic movies such as The Godfather, Dr Zhivago, and The Sound of Music. Sound of Music is a real classic with always popular songs that are known to everyone- 'Do, a Deer' is a good example.
Shannon is a wonderful, happy asset to the Brother Andre's team, and we are so thankful to have her.
