Introducing Mary Joyce

I'd like to introduce you to Mary Joyce, a new support staff member here at Brother Andre's Epiphany. Mary discovered us though coming to Mass with Felicia when they were roommates. Go Felicia!

Mary is from York, PA and came to Pitt for two reasons; 1) she loved the Marching Band, and 2) her parents were Pitt grads. (She spent only freshmen year with the Band but decided to stick with her parents!) Although her degree is in science, Mary has always had an interest in education. She has experience in Special Ed, because her mom was a school para-professional.

I asked Mary about her favorite part of Brother Andre's. Surprise! Surprise! It's the employees! I know you're getting REAL tired of this, but I can't help it, I'm the blogger, and I must tell the truth.

There is a wonderful life event fast approaching: MARY'S GETTING MARRIED! We are excited for her and for her fiance, Nick! So, I had to ask the details. Mary says that her August 16th Wedding at beautiful, old St Peter's on the Northside, is beginning to feel really close. She's already had her final dress fitting! It all sounds exciting and fun; I can't wait to see pictures of the big day!

In the meantime, I was interested to know what Mary does with her free time. Well, she's sure that just spending time with the people in her life is the most important thing. She obviously loves spending time with Nick, and with her friends. (I wonder if Mary ever cooks for them.) I, too, really enjoy spending time with friends! I  also get why Mary says she enjoys being outside and reading.

One question that I love to ask is, 'What's your dream vacation?'. So, of course, I asked. Mary said it was Europe, and, specifically, Ireland and Italy. I agree- sounds awesome. Mary also wants to see the Redwoods out west. I think that these vacations could be life changing (and lots of fun)!

On a more low-key note, Mary also loves the beach. Her favorite beaches are in New Jersey, specifically, Sea Isle and Ocean City. She seems made for chillin' on the beach, with her sunglasses  on, looking so cool.

Mary's ultimate goal is to be a mom; I think she'll be a great one. It's going to be fun to see what the future holds for her and Nick.

Mary's constantly assisting our team members: working the register, making special drinks, or performing any necessary task under-the-sun!  She's always right there- ready to help! So, Mary works hard, smiles a lot, and is great to know; we are so lucky to have her here. Welcome, Mary!
