I'd like to introduce Concetta, who discovered Brother Andre's through her roommate -- Felicia! (I give her props for surviving that experience...just kidding, Felicia is The Best.) If you can't tell by now, I really love to sass my friends.
Concetta came to our Epiphany location first, and was impressed. Once Assumption opened, she began working there. She absolutely loves it. She said that the Team Members are amazing, and "You'll never see a coffee shop quite like Brother Andre's; we dance whenever we want"! What fun!
Concetta and I have lots in common. She is the youngest in her family and she is an Aunt. I grew up with older sisters and she has four older brothers. (I wonder what it was like to grow up with all those boys. One thing for sure, if anyone ever messes with her,- she'll have immediate back-up ..haha!) I have a niece who is almost two- and she has a sibling on the way! Concetta has a nephew who is around six months old. Being an aunt is Incredible; I love watching the baby grow and learn new things. I bet that's Concetta's favorite part of being an aunt, too.
Concetta went to North Allegheny High School. (Actually, NA is my rival because I went to Pine Richland - where I was a proud Cheerleader! So, sorry, Concetta, but I happily root against NA all the time..haha.) Concetta recently got into the Occupational Therapy (OT) Program at Pitt. I'm so proud of her! Pitt OT is The Best. Fun fact: every year, I give a speech to an OT class at Pitt. I absolutely love it! Soon, we'll have to add Concetta to The Brother Andre's Magnificent OT's list.
One of Concetta's favorite memories is her trip to France and rural Germany. That sounds unique and wonderful to me. My trip to Paris last Fall was my first to Europe, and that trip is my favorite memory!
Concetta has some pretty fun hobbies,- she's a really creative crocheter. I'm going to convince her to show me some of her pieces. Her creativity doesn't stop - she draws and plays the guitar! Since she likes Folk and Christian music, I can imagine that she wants to play some of her favorite tunes. I personally love Christian music, too. It reminds me that I'm not alone, and that even on my darkest days- God really, really loves us all.
When Concetta needs a break, she (like the rest of us) likes to watch TV shows and movies. Favorites include 'Gilmore Girls' and "The Cinderella Story". Actually, I am currently watching 'Gilmore Girls' and really enjoying the series- it's sooo good! I am curious about which "Cinderella Story" Concetta likes; I personally like both the Hillary Duff one AND the Selena Gomez one.
Concetta's best books are Anna Karenina (Tolstoy) and He Leadeth Me (Ciszek). I am a pretty avid reader, so I'm definitely going to check out both of these books! I will let you know what I think.
Concetta is a true Blessing to Brother Andre's. I would love to talk with her soon again. If you go to BA's Assumption, be certain to say "Hi" to Concetta. You won't regret it, she's awesome!
