Assumption Church Brother Andre's Grand Opening

GUYS, IT'S OFFICIAL! Assumption Brother Andre's is open for business! On Saturday, March 1st, we had our Grand Opening!

By 10:45, everyone had gathered in the back of the Cafe. (There was Mass first, but I didn't go.) So, when my parents and I first arrived, we went straight to the back of the Cafe to get ready for the big reveal! I watched as people filed in; they just kept coming and coming!

The events began with a train of speeches. Dan Gallagher started by introducing the mission of Brother Andre's and of Move A Mountain. Then, he introduced Mike Fitzgerald who told more of the background story and talked about how far we've come. (If you want to know more, you can read all about how this all began on our website under the tab 'Contact', click 'Our Story'.)

After the speeches were finished, it was time to cut the Grand Opening Ribbon! Each of the Epiphany Team Members held part of the ribbon, then we cut it in the middle, and then the curtain was opened- revealing the Assumption Team Members! Everyone was clapping and cheering!

The opening of the curtain was the start of the crowd craziness. Some of the people were lining up to get their yummy treats. Others were lingering around the Cafe- admiring its nice, new set-up. I was in the back, hanging out and talking to people about my blog. Huff, our Assumption Manager, was able to hook my iPad up to a TV so people could see it! I really enjoyed chatting with everyone, and telling them about Brother Andre's - AND about my blog.

Bridgette's other best friend, Natalie, was there with her family; she has two incredibly adorable, precious daughters. They loved coming to check out the new Cafe, AND, it was clear, they especially loved the cookies. Of course! Natalie claims that I stole her BFF, and well...I did. (Sorry not sorry, Natalie, hahaha!) All jokes aside, I'm so glad I got to see her, and I even got to meet her sweet parents.

After a while of sitting in the back with my blog, I wanted to go to the front where all the action was. There, I got to visit with a lot of people! Sarah even came - if you didn't know, Sarah got another job at Sts John and Paul as the Director of Faith Formation. We miss her, but we're so happy and proud of her! We love you, Sarah!

All of the Team Members were working hard behind the counter making food and drinks! Some of them were even walking around with trays of cookies, Yum! I am so proud of everyone and all of their hard work!

This event was so special! It really is amazing to see how far Brother Andre's has grown. I remember the first Grand Opening at Epiphany; at that point, we only had 6 Team Members. Just look at us now!

We are soo excited for this new era, and we hope you'll come and visit us at both locations. I promise that you won't regret it!
